Here are two versions of a case for small knitting needles and notions.
My friend Emmy asked for a small case to hold the beautiful short wooden needles she and her friends are using. It became obvious that this case could hold notions or even jewelry for traveling.
The cases are basically the same except for the flaps with one a plain tapered flap and the other glittery with a buttonhole tab. Both are made flat in stockinette stitch and then folded up to form the case. The buttonholes are knitted in. The project is easy and quick and makes a great gift.
Felting is not an exact science. Your final dimensions may vary slightly.
Finished Felted Dimensions: 11" by 3.5"
Yarn: 1 skein of Manos Del Uruguay, color 43 (teal). The glitter version also uses 22 yards of Trendsetter Metal, color 20 (black).
