Both have purple metallic trim and the hat has a felted flower. The hat is made in the round. The purse starts with a flat garter stitch bottom, and then stitches are picked up all around to make the rest of the purse in the round until you get to the flap and straps.
Change the colors, and the set works for anyone and for any occasion.

Purse - 8" by 7.25" by 3"
Hat - 22" circumference
Yarn: Cascade 220 (Color 8895, Red) & Trendsetter Metal (Color 15, Purple). The hat and flower take 1 skein of Cascade & the purse takes 2 skeins of Cascade. For the purse, hold 2 strands of red yarn together. The purple trim for both can be made with 1 ball of Metal.
