The front, back and flap of the purse are stockinette stitch, in modular strips which are knitted together as you go. The middle strip of the back/flap is extended to contain the buttonhole. The strip construction forms the "trails," as the occasional bursts of color appear in short lengths rather than in stripes across the width of the purse. The bottom and side is made in one strip which you sew to the front and back. The strap is twisted I cord.
Felting is not an exact science. Your final dimensions may vary slightly.
